Finally!  We give thanks for the REturn of the sun's warm rays to nourish our winter frozen bodies. In actuality everyone knows that the earth moves closer to the sun-SO GET REady FOR THE HEAT!
Now, the other significant thing is that we are now prime candidates for being RECYCLED from the warm, resurrecting rays from the sun penetrating through the surface of our skin to speak to our cells.
When this happens, most of us who do enjoy the sun feel more enlivened.

While walking out in the afternoon sun when it had reached its zenith, my senses of sacredness were excited and filled with new inspiration of ideas of how to recycle FAB'ric and PA!per.  Guess what?  Eye even got a 'bee'autiful notion to create and mix recycled thangz with thangz from nature.  You all will see!

So, get outside and enjoy the golden rays of the Sun.

To ensure their longevity of life, all BEC's FAB'PA! beads are given a luxurious bath in Judi Kins Diamond Glaze. When they are dry, they are given a final make over with Janice Mae's Vibrance Glaze (The Paper Bead Princess) to make them museum, and runway quality. They also become water resistant-not water proof yet, but eye'm working on it!

Making pa!per beads is relaxing and good for our delicate eco
system as well.  While recuperating from a total knee replacement surgery, eye wanted sum.thing that eye could do that was crafty and inexpensive.  Eye was checking out all kinds of crafts video on youtube and stumbled upon Beyond Bracelets. Then after that video, eye saw this lil' face with a title that said, "Paper Bead Princess."
Instantly, eye was drawn to Ms. Janice Mae Bautista's video on how to make round pa!per beads.  Immediately, eye fell in love with everything pa!per thanks to her.
Eye have been an artist and a d'signer for many years off and on. When recycling wasn't the "N" thang yet, eye was known as a recycle and embellishment artist in Oklahoma City, OK as the Weird One.

 Well, thanks be to my ancestors--EYE'M STILL THA WEIRD ONE.  My weirdness has heightened, cause now eye'm really concerned about what we're doing to our Planet.  We must as a family continue to find ways to reduce our carbon footprints.
Recycling is our only and best option. Eye know, eye know. We can't turn everything into a bead and that's okay cause we can turn our junk magazines, newspa!pers, old fab'rics, plastic bags, etc., into other things that are useful.

Eye'm going to continue to play around with fab'rics and pa!pers and other thangz as my small part of 'bee'-ing a part of the solution.

BEE tha Change and Celebrate!

Greenpeace Alert!

Honeybees pollinate many of the nuts, fruits and vegetables we love. But beekeepers like me keep discovering our honeybees – whole hives of them – gone or dead.

This is no act of God. Our bees are being poisoned.

Scientists have linked a powerful class of pesticides called “neonics” to increases in bee die-offs. Due in part to these deadly toxic chemicals, 31% of hives in the United States collapsed this past winter alone.

Last month millions across Europe spoke up for the bees and pressured the European Union (EU) into imposing a two year ban on neonics, defeating the influential pesticide lobby. If we act together, we can convince the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to do the same.

Help us send 75K comments to the EPA by June 27th to save the bees that pollinate our crops and that visit your backyard.

Tell the EPA today to suspend the use of neonics on crops that bees pollinate.

Viruses, mites and malnutrition can all contribute to the collapse of a hive. But neonics pose a unique threat to bees. These poisons spread into the pollen and nectar of treated plants, slowly accumulating in the hive with each bee’s trip to a contaminated flower.

By allowing toxic chemicals like neonics to weaken and kill bees, we threaten our food and our environment.

The companies that make these pesticides, Bayer and Syngenta, have spent millions lobbying the United States and European governments that simply commissioning more studies – even while bee populations plummet – will somehow solve the problem.

Of course more studies are welcome, but action is needed now to prevent an agricultural catastrophe.

Tell the EPA to suspend use of neonic pesticides in order to save the bee population that we all depend on.

Trying to solve all agricultural problems with chemical additives is shortsighted and reckless. To ensure that we have safe and reliable food, we must strive for sustainable agriculture that works with nature, rather than manipulates and destroys it.

The elimination of bee-killing pesticides is major progress towards that goal. Every step that helps restore the balance between the natural world and the agricultural world is an important one.

Isn't life all about solutions?  Albeit that the only time we concern ourselves with finding solutions to things is when they appear to affect and infect our lives in some way.  Well, eye'm no different than anyone else. Let me explain my unusual way of using words and spellings, so that you don't think they're typos or think that I (eye) just can't spell.  To me the very word 'solution' sounds like our 'Soul' is trying to 'Show Us' something.  Just like the word 'I' really sounds like the word 'Eye.'  It is recorded that the ancient Egiptians (now we get into etymologies because Eye'm not using the letter 'y' but if someone asks me why--then EYE will explain) used the symbol eye BEEcause the EYES are the windows to the Soul.  However, then we are reminded that nothing is as it appears.  Anyway, what we're talking about and or dealing with is OUR perceptions of the things that we think we see.

In order to fully have a clear understanding of just what Oppression is besides experiencing it as an Afrikan born in Amerika, one of my Academic Professors: Dr. Mark Imhotep Cray, M.D. assigned a book for students of his to read: Pedagogy of the Oppressed by Paulo Freire

Then in addition to that we were assigned the task of watching in sequences the presentation of it by Professor Jason Campbell.  After reading the book and watching all of those valuable hours of Prof. Jason Campbell's presentations, my eyes were fully opened to the many other levels of why there is so much oppression going on in the world.  There's even a methodology and theory why there are so many charity organizations.  Well, eye remember that scripture teaches that the poor we will have with us always.   So the question (s) remain.  How do we go about successfully giving hand ups and not just always hand outs?

If the hand is out, there is a person at the other end of it in need of HELP.  How much help is too much help, some people ask.

When should we stop helping those persons at the other end of those outstretched hands?  When we as a humanity of people help them to regain their sense of dignity, self reliance and a way in which to fully sustain themselves economically, then we can move on to the next group of outstretched hands.  When we free ourselves from the well orchestrated organizations working behind the scenes to keep people oppressed then we must teach them how to be free as well.  Liberation is about liberating even the oppressors.  Truly, even the oppressor is oppressed.  Paulo Freire's theory is that the oppressor is oppressed because they are enslaved to always formulating the strategies will keep the oppressed, oppressed.

Eye care about many things. Eye am deeply concerned about what our oppressors states of mind continues to do to our plan-et. Eye am a person (female of course) with not just one major concern.  Yet, if eye have to start somewhere, eye want to start with the keepers of life--Girls and Women.  The statistics of abuse against Girls and Women worldwide continues to soar at an alarming rate.  Yes, eye do mean in Amerika as well. 

 Some countries outlaw the education of girls and women, forcing them to be no-class citizens for life.  I think gender education has its place, yet it is a fact that All must and deserve to be Educated.  Making education accessible to all forces the oppressors to control what the oppressed is taught.  

One of my aspirations is to help girls and women worldwide with what eye do. 
How?  
Well, eye will most definitely continue to give to organizations that invest in educating girls and women worldwide.  Secondly, eye plan to start an organization or company of my own specifically designed to help heal our sisters together.
