Keeping It Simple with Style isn't always easy.
I have this passionate tendency finding it hard to create things without adding too much detail. The term these days is 'minimalist'.  In the design world there are those who love things that are just plain and simple with style.
my inspiration for the Flat Tray Design

I love things that are rich with detail, however, nature is our best teacher and it shows us how simplicity can be just as beautiful as some of its most intricate wonders.  So, what I've been doing lately while on my sacred walks through my beautiful neighborhood is looking for what appears to be plain and simple things that are apart of nature's finest arrangements. After all, we all know that the process in producing something that is apart of life is not always a plain and simple process. Underneath the apparent look of its simplicity is a complex and infinite weaving of particles whose end result is what nature births for us to behold.
So, I've asked nature to assist me with just appreciating and designing simple things with natural styles that are inspiring all by themselves.

I saw this shell resting peacefully by itself so I added my plain and simple cowrie shells around it and then left it there to continue to bring plain and simple beauty to that spot.

This tree reminds me to sing no matter what's going on in my life; Simple or complexed (lol)

It also provides a great spot for me to display my plain and simple knotted bracelets
Well, it's time for me and my walking buddy-Simba (my daughter's dog) to make our way back to the house and get out of this hot Texas sun.  I will take the lessons learned today and use them to help me to find the joy in KEEPING IT SIMPLE with STYLE.  Until next time, keep on REdiscovering and discovering the JOYS-n-RECYCLING, it's great for our ecology.
Tell me what helps you to simplify things when you're in a creative mood so that you don't go overboard.

Let's Celebrate those who make a Difference! Yey! Janice Mae!

I absolutely love, love everything this woman does! She has a heart that is so big and wonderful! If you really wanna learn how to make some fun and beautiful paper beads, her videos are the ones to watch.

The most wonderful thing about her is that she gives back to the Philippine children in her native country. The work that she does here with her own paper bead business has also created jobs for some of the people in the community.

Now, because of her continuing generosity many parents can buy educational supplies for their children and holiday gifts as well.  Please support Janice Mae The Paper Bead Princess by purchasing some of her beautiful and Chic yet Eco friendly paper bead jewelry.

Thanks Paper Bead Princess for all your love and care.

Until next time, keep on REdiscovering and discovering the JOYS-N-RECYCLING!
I would love to hear from other crafters who are also making a difference. Leave me a comment.

peace/good fortune to all

Treasures from Our Homeland-My Lacan Kwite Handmade Treasures

Elephant Grass Fabric Earrings handmade by the Lacan Kwite Uganda Artisans

Wow!!!  I ordered the 'Elephant Grass Fabric earrings and one of the Afrikan (African) paper bead stars' from the Paper Bead Works site that host the Kwite Essential Beads from Northern Uganda.  Both are totally FAB'PA!--lous!

I will definitely be transforming the star into a beautiful BEC neck jewel as well.   It truly is a rewarding feeling knowing that my purchase is helping a group of Afrikan women better their lives and the lives within the compound where they are living to escape potentially death if caught in the cross fire of war going on there.

As I wear these precious treasures and cherish the Afrikan star that means so much to them as well, I can't help but to acknowledge how blessed many of us are because we don't have to wake up in the types of distress that the Lacan Kwite people do.  Yet, they have a spirit that declares that they will rise triumphantly out the struggles that war creates for them everyday.

So, with that being said if you're reading this post and you haven't ordered anything yet from Paper Bead Works, please visit the site today and purchase something.  Be a Shero or Hero for someone far away today.

Until next time, keep REdiscovering and discovering the JOYS-N-RECYCLING!
Feel free to express yourself-leave a comment.  Thanks!
